Operations

The purpose of the association is to foster and support research and education on social and economic phenomena related business models and marketing. Based on applications the association allocates grants to initiatives that support our mission.

Together with academic and business organizations, HAISI organizes seminars and other open events. We seek to gain exposure and wide awareness for the research results that are achieved with the support from association.

Research

The association enables various research projects and publishing the achieved results in wide international forums. Currently HAISI supports the following research projects:

  • Co-creating the ethics of controversial consumption
  • Profitability of competitive actions
  • New practices of media consumption at the digital era

People

The association was founded in the summer of 2011. The founders are staff from Aalto University.

Collaboration

MediaBizLab

In collaboration with the Federation of Finnish Media Industry, HAISI supports MediaBizLab, which is a multidisciplinary study program administered by the faculty of marketing at Aalto University School of Economics. The aim of the program is to foster development of new business models for digital media, provide a platform for developing novel media services and advance the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. Other sponsors for the study program are Sanoma and Sulake.



Aalto Fashion Marketing

Together with Saga Furs and the Federation of Finnish Textiles and Clothing Industries, HAISI is enabling a new multidisciplinary study program Aalto Fashion Marketing. The endowment from the association enabled students to visit South Korea and observe the increasing East Asian fashion markets and textile industry.
